Limestone Spring Lean-to, CT · 22  Miles Hiked Today · 1475 of 2167 Miles Hiked Total

The hike today was easier that it should have been for 22 miles of hills. Thank God. I was able to catch up to Ulcer, JoJo & Coloradôô which was also cool.

I haven't written much the last few days about what I've seen, so here goes: a beautiful "mountain" lake in which I could see fish and turtles, coniferous forests which remind you of the Colorado front range, long and winding rivers along which we have hiked, snakes, deer, the light of sunset illuminating the leaf-bottoms of the trees above me on a ridge, squirrels, chipmunks, small towns of white farmhouses, a sunrise, amber waves of grain blowing in the cool summer breeze, cobwebs dusted with dew glowing in the morning sun, rabbits, and a field aglow with fireflies.
